Third-party event ticket verification

Often, our only option to buy event tickets is on third party sites where legitimacy is questionable. Resale tickets are often available on reputable sites, but buyers must pay high fees.

Ticket buddy verifies ticket authenticity by cross-referencing unique ticket identifiers with box office records, putting event goers' minds at ease.

Ricky Transaction or High Fees?

Today, users who want to make sure their resale tickets are authentic are faced with a choice. Purchase them from a highly reputable brand with equally high fees, or go with an unproven source and risk getting fakes.

Today's typical experience

BAU Seller vs Buyer.png

Pain Points

Neither the seller nor the buyer want to make the first move.

If the seller sends the ticket first, they must trust that the buyer will send the agreed upon payment.

If the buyer sends payment first, they must trust that the seller will follow through and send the ticket.

The risk profile with this experience is asymmetrical - even if the buyer receives the ticket, there is still uncertainty around whether it is legitimate. Ticket authenticity often isn't confirmed until the buyer arrives at the event and is granted entry.

How Might We...

How might we allow resale ticket buyers and sellers to feel confident about their transaction without being subject to high fees?
